Why Squarespace??

I choose to use Squarespace simply because it's so darn easy for you, the client, to work on. Trust me, I’ve worked on tons of hardcoded websites that feature a complicated back-end that can be confusing to navigate. You’re not a web designer or a developer, so you shouldn’t have to learn a bunch of confusing computer languages every time you want to update your site. You also shouldn’t have to pay someone like me your hard-earned money just to swap out a photo. Once we get you up and running, I want you to have full control and confidence to own your site, so it can easily grow with you as you grow your business!

Wait gulp, does that mean I need to learn web design after you finish my site?

Don’t worry about that! As I mentioned, Squarespace makes it easy for you, and I’m not going to leave you high and dry! Once we’re ready to go live, we will wrap up with a launch and learn call. I will go over the details on how to update your site and make all necessary changes. You’ll also have the space to ask any questions you want to know about the process. Everything will be recorded and shared with you, like a cheat sheet you can continue to reference down the line with confidence – no coding required!

I’ve worked hard for my money. Why shouldn’t I go to a crowdsourced design website to get a cheaper option?

Listen, I’m not going to tell you what to do. I think it’s important that you steward your money well—you’re running a business after all! If you can save money by finding a budget option, then I’m all for it. My number one priority is for you to get results. I don’t want you to throw away money on a pretty-looking website that doesn’t convert customers. That’s why a large part of my process is based on digging into your business so we can collaboratively understand how best to tell your sales story. I create truly custom solutions for my clients to make sure you’re not just getting another canned template, but rather a site that captures what makes you and your business so amazing in the first place.

What do you mean package “starts at $$$”? Does that mean I’m going to get slapped with hidden fees?

Heck no! I respect the value of a budget and I want you to have all of the confidence in the world knowing what the final price will be before signing anything. That’s why the next step is a consultation call. On that call, we will go over the nuts and bolts of what your project calls for so I can give you a final price. I’ll follow that up with an invoice breakdown so you know exactly how much you can expect to pay. I don’t often quote hourly rates because I want you to feel confident in the final price. You shouldn’t have to worry when things come up that take extra time to fix, and how that’s going to affect your final bill. My aim is for total transparency. I simply list where the price starts so that once we get on the call you don’t have sticker shock. I value both your time and mine, and I want to make sure we’re on the same page right from the get-go.

How long is this going to take??

In most cases, you should have your website within 3 weeks. Note that on average, most websites take around 6 weeks to design if you work with other agencies. But, because time is money, my goal is to cut that timeline in half for you! Now that doesn’t mean we’ll get on a call, and you can expect to have access to your new site three weeks from today. In order to nail that tight deadline so you can launch your new website to the masses, it’s going to take some homework. I provide a series of content collection forms to ensure I get all of the relevant copy and images from you before we begin. On the consultation call, we'll discuss design dates to get you on my calendar and hammer out an exact timeline for you and your unique project.

What if I don’t have branding in place or want an update? Do you take care of that?

Yes, branding is one of my favorite things to do and I’d love to help you with yours! If you go with The Economically Savvy Package, I will help you update your fonts, colors, and style so that it better reflects your vision for your brand. With The Booming Business Package, I can work with you to create (or re-create) everything from scratch. You’ll get a fresh logo, all the logo files you need, branded color palettes, and patterns. You’ll also get a mini style guide to document what’s what, so you know just how to roll out your new brand. For more information on the branding process, check out my branding page.

What does the payment process like?

I use a CRM called Honeybook to process my contracts and payments. That means you get a digital invoice you can easily pay with just a few clicks online. After our consultation call, I require a 50% deposit upfront to lock in your dates and get you on my calendar. After that, we get to work, and you pay the final invoice once we’re finished and ready to launch.
