Love on the Map Campaign
Valentine's Day is about showing love and appreciation to those we hold dear. Every year at World Help, we challenged people to go beyond chocolates and roses to change the life of someone in need by putting their love into action. Every year, we ran a campaign focused on giving people the opportunity to make a global impact.

Logo Development:
I wanted to focus on a mark that we could use annually for Valentine's Day, harnessing the typical visuals associated with love and pairing them with the global nature of our work. I sketched ideas that worked a map into a heart and utilized a map pin to tie the branding visuals in with the campaign’s message.
2017 Campaign
Love Rescues:
For our 2017 “Put Your Love on the Map” campaign, we wanted to prove that love rescues. By focusing on our baby rescue programs, we could highlight the power that love could make in the life of a child on the brink of starvation.
While all of our programs at World Help provide literal transformation, none do so more visually than our baby rescue programs. To highlight this, I focused the whole campaign around transformative before and after photos to show the true difference someone's love can make in the life of a child in need.
UX/UI Site Design:
We worked to introduce a new website feature to highlight before and after photos, helping visitors see their transformative power while providing regional statistics about the obstacles children face in Guatemala, Haiti, and Uganda. Tying in with the overarching “Put Your Love on the Map” campaign from previous years, we wanted to incorporate #loveletters. It was essentially a system where donors could write love notes to the child they rescued about the new future they had before them. It served as a way to connect donors to programs across the world and virtually put their love on the map.
Digital Advertisements:
With our social advertising push, we wanted to encourage donors to celebrate a love that rescues. We focused on couples, asking them to consider giving towards the lasting change of rescue versus the typical gifts of flowers or chocolates. Ultimately, we hoped to get families to come together and celebrate the power of love with those in need around the world.
2016 Campaign
Love Believes
For our 2016 “Put Your Love on the Map” campaign, we wanted our donors to believe in the power of love to drastically alter the future of those in need through child sponsorship. When love believes that more is possible for these children, that their future holds inherent promise, and that every child matters, real lives can be changed around the world.
Approach:
Our child sponsorship program is our most global initiative, and we wanted to put it front-and-center as an example of the power of love. As a thank you to our generous donors, we shot a video celebrating those who had already put their love on the map around the world with an 8x5 ft. map into which we inserted pins with the names of sponsors and the countries their sponsored children live in.
Video:
The corresponding campaign page highlighted the video and provided more information on sponsorship and other ways to pray or get more involved with their sponsored children. We also supplied more avenues to help, whether by sponsoring another child or by giving to unsponsored children.
